We are up early for our flight home. The sunrise was very interesting. This photo was actually facing west, with Moorea on the horizon. Don’t quite know how the sun’s rays can look like that.
We were picked up and at the airport in short order. We got checked in with no problem and they didn’t give us a hassle about our carry-ons. We were able to hang out for a while in the lounge before boarding.
We are flying Air France.
And the food was rather fancy.
This is the appetizers for our brunch/lunch.
When organizing the night before we were pleased to find out that, even though the flight was about 8 hours, the time difference between Tahiti and California is only two hours. Wonderful. No jet lag.
Upon arrival the luggage came out fast and we were through
customs in no time. We picked up a
rental car and headed to Redondo Beach where we will be staying a few
days.
On Sunday, the 15th, we spent the afternoon with
Josh, Vanessa and our grandson. Sent out
for Indian food. Their condo is almost
back together after a summer of major house problems and huge renovations.
